Dear John,
As you know, I am saddened to end our long relationship, now going into its 8th year. You have always been, and always will be, the best in the field! If not forced by outside factors, I would never give up our business relationship and lose such an invaluable asset on my team. The scope of your expertise is mind-blowing! Whether it is property management, construction, renovations, leasing, showings, market expertise and knowledge, the full labyrinth of your expertise is simply unmatched by any one in the field. Just reminiscing about some of what we have done together:
- Renovations at 221 Washington street, including the building out of an
Amenities Center and updating it twice.
- Developing and adding two new units (10 beds) at 60 Henry Street, as
well as two commercial spaces at this location.
- A full gut-rehab of 215 State Street, turning a once run-down building to
one of the nicest buildings in Downtown Binghamton, designed with
that certain NYC lofts flair that only you know how to design.
- And of course, the highlight of our involvement: being the Project
Manager for LOFTS@JC, bringing in all the myriad of players,
coordinating their efforts, monitoring their progress and more, all
culminating with a gorgeous new ground-up construction that is the
envy of all.
The above list obviously only touches upon some of your construction and development skills. On a day-to-day basis, there is no one I know that could possibly have managed my properties better than you and the entire Maczko Realty team. Handling my buildings with the perspective of an owner-developer-broker, I do not believe there was even one instance in our 8 years together where you threw up your hands and told me: “I don’t know what to do here.” Every single curve ball thrown at us (and we had quite a few) was handled by you with full professionalism, expertise, and correctly. I would highly recommend to anyone to engage you as a Property Manager without a blink of an eyelash. I have always recommended you to others in the past and will ontinue to do so in the future. Of course, the final set of skills I am aware of is your brokerage abilities. Having brokered some of my deals, your vast and comprehensive knowledge of everything going on in Broome County, and all the latest real estate developments around the country, as well as your broad “rolodex” of contacts, has always been a tremendous asset for anyone (like me) looking to acquire or dispose of assets, spanning from residential to commercial asset classes. While I hope we always remain in contact, I again must end with my deep and profound sadness at our parting of the ways. I know you have moved on to bigger and better things as you have exponentially grown Maczko Realty, staying on managing my property more as a favor to me than anything else. And your favor is both acknowledged and much appreciated! Barring external factors forcing us to part, I would have been thrilled to have continued to benefit from your expertise, knowledge and wisdom for years and years to come. Believe me, not having John Mackzo on my team is an unequivocal loss to me personally and professionally.
